Hello, I’m Jena – Founder & Recipe Creator

Born in Italy, I grew up in a home where meals were a celebration. My mother cooked from scratch almost every night, turning whatever was in the pantry into something magical. That love of simple, honest food stayed with me as my career in finance took me around the world—from Europe and the Middle East to Asia and America.
Each place taught me new flavours and techniques, and I always seemed to end up in the kitchen, notebook in hand, asking locals about their favourite family dishes.
A few years ago I decided to follow my heart back to the stove. Today, I live in North Carolina and run SimpleEaters as part of CreativeGrid LLC, a U.S.–registered company that manages a network of food blogs. Creating and sharing recipes is my full‑time job and greatest joy. My goal is to help you feel confident in the kitchen, whether you’re making dinner for one or feeding a crowd. I believe the most delicious food comes from everyday ingredients, a bit of patience, and a lot of love simpleeaters.com.
Meet Our Team :
Emma Davis – Recipe Developer & Food Stylist

Emma grew up in the Pacific Northwest and spent her early career as a professional caterer. She specialises in transforming comfort classics into easy weeknight meals with a wow factor. Emma has a knack for making dishes look as good as they taste—she stages our photo shoots, tests new recipes, and always finds a way to sneak extra vegetables into her creations. When she’s not cooking, she’s hiking trails with her dog or tending to her herb garden.
Linda Romy – Baking & Desserts Guru

Linda hails from a family of bakers in Chicago and earned her stripes working in patisseries before joining us. She delights in mixing tradition with surprise—think airy cakes infused with unexpected spices or flaky pies with seasonal fruit combinations. Linda writes our baking tutorials, creates decadent yet approachable sweet treats, and loves to experiment with gluten‑free and vegan alternatives. Off the clock, you’ll find her teaching neighbourhood kids how to bake their first batch of cookies.
Jackson Rivera – Comfort & One‑Pot Specialist (returning from our previous draft)

A North Carolina native with Puerto Rican roots, Jackson crafts hearty, soul‑warming dishes that draw on both Southern and Caribbean traditions. He believes in cooking with heart and making food that brings people together. Jackson loves developing one‑pot wonders and slow‑cooker recipes that are perfect for busy families. In his spare time, he hosts community cookouts and shares tips for cooking big batches without stress.
What We Believe
| Value | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Simplicity | Good food doesn’t need to be complicated — it just needs a little heart and a handful of everyday ingredients. |
| Ease | Weeknights are busy, but dinner shouldn’t feel like work. Quick, tasty meals make life easier (and a lot more delicious). |
| Comfort | One-pot wonders and cozy classics that remind you of home — the kind of food that makes everything feel okay again. |
| Freshness | Bright salads, hearty bowls, and lighter bites for days when you want something clean and energizing. |
| Sweetness | Baking projects anyone can tackle — from simple cookies to show-off celebration cakes. |
| Mindful Cooking | Cook once, eat twice. Thoughtful meal-prep ideas that save time and help reduce waste. |
| Curiosity | Recipes inspired by places we’ve been and the flavors we’ve fallen in love with along the way. |
| Trust | Every recipe is tested, tweaked, and written clearly — with make-ahead tips and easy substitutions. |
SimpleEaters is built on real ingredients, clear instructions, and plenty of flavor.
Some recipes come together perfectly, others turn into learning moments — but that’s the beauty of cooking.
The Journey Ahead
What started as my personal recipe journal has turned into a wonderful community of home cooks who share one belief: simple food can still be extraordinary.
Every email, photo, and shared success reminds me why I love doing this — because food is meant to be shared, not stressed over.
We’re proudly part of CreativeGrid LLC, a collective that helps food creators and storytellers bring their passion to life online. Their behind-the-scenes support lets me focus on what I love most — cooking, writing, and connecting with you.
So whether you’re here looking for a 20-minute dinner, a no-bake dessert, or a new way to use what’s already in your fridge — welcome.
I’m so happy you’re here.
Now grab a plate… let’s eat something good.
— Jena Smith 🤍
