Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for coating
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  • Follow these simple steps to create your own batch of cinnamon sugar goodness:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until well combined.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a donut comes out clean.
  • While the donuts are baking, combine 1 cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon in a bowl for the coating.
  • Once baked, let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack.
  • While still warm, toss each donut in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
