Begin by greasing a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking.

Remove the saucepan from heat. If you want to add food coloring, now is the time! Stir in a few drops until you achieve your desired color.
Gradually add the Rice Krispies cereal to the melted marshmallow mixture, stirring until the cereal is evenly coated.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Using a buttered spatula, press the mixture down evenly.
Let it cool for about 15 minutes. Once slightly cooled, use a cookie cutter to cut out fun shapes or simply cut into squares.
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled Rice Krispies treats.
While the chocolate is still warm, decorate with gummy worms and creepy candy insects for that perfect creepy touch!
