Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze
  • 2 tablespoons water for glaze
  • Black food coloring optional
  • White chocolate or icing for spiderweb decoration

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Transfer the batter into a piping bag and pipe it into the prepared donut pan.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow the donuts to cool completely on a wire rack.
  • For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar and water in a bowl until smooth. If desired, add black food coloring to achieve a spooky look.
  • Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze, allowing the excess to drip off.
  • Once the glaze has set, use melted white chocolate or icing to create a spiderweb pattern on top of each donut.
