Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare the baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • Mix ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the pecan halves, maple syrup, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Stir until the pecans are well coated.
  • Spread on baking sheet: Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading the pecans out in a single layer.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the pecans are golden brown and fragrant. Keep a close eye on them to avoid burning.
  • Cool down: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the pecans cool completely. They will become crisp as they cool.
